Objectifs
Les travaux de cette équipe se sont focalisés sur cinq grands axes de recherche :
- Modélisation et analyse mathématique en épidémiologie. L’objectif est d’étudier et de modéliser certaines maladies infectieuses qui sont d’importants problèmes de santé publique pour l’Afrique subsaharienne;
- Médiation de données pour le web sémantique. Le but est de proposer des modèles, méthodes et outils permettant à des structures désireuses de se mettre en partenariat, une mise en commun de leurs ressources dans un environnement distribué, plus particulièrement dans le cadre du web sémantique;
- Modélisation mathématique et simulation numérique liée à la gestion des ressources naturelles et à l’environnement. Ce thème concerne la surveillance et le contrôle dans la préservation des écosystèmes;
- Concepts et outils mathématiques émergents. Il s’agit ici d’exporter dans des domaines variés d’application les avancées fondamentales réalisées en mathématiques appliquées, physique statistique et informatique fondamentale et d’utiliser des méthodes et des concepts qui en sont issus;
- Algorithmique et ordonnancement, serveurs de calcul distribués
.
