logo-EuroMedSince the consortium concluded at the end of 2014, the founding partners have expressed a willingness to pursue the program and have launched a call for expressions of interest for a seminar next September (14th to 16th), organised at Inria – Sophia Antipolis – Méditerranée Centre.

You can download the following documents: call for expressions and participation form.

The objective of the seminar is to discuss the prospects for the program and prepare a new call for proposals for projects to start in early 2017, and whose main theme will be digital science (computer sciences and mathematical modelling) and issues relevant to the Mediterranean area related to agriculture, food, environment and health.

These projects must involve at least two countries of the southern Mediterranean and two of the French institutes involved (INRA, Cirad and Inria). The cooperation of other European partners in the projects is a plus.

Context reminder

Inria launched the EuroMediterranean 3+3 program in 2005.

Since the second call in 2008, Cirad and INRA have joined Inria to manage this program with the Tunisian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, the Algerian Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research and the Moroccan National Centre for Scientific and Technical Research (CNRST).

The basic objective of the program is to strengthen collaborative, pan-Mediterranean and multidisciplinary research projects in the areas of Applied Mathematics and Computer Sciences concerning issues relevant to the Mediterranean area (water management, food security, environmental problems, health, etc.) among researchers belonging to the various research organisations, members of the consortium (Algeria, Spain, France, Italy, Morocco, Tunisia).
